Cape Town has many secrets and by choosing Cape Focus Tours, specialists in private Cape Town tours, you have found a tour operator who is best poised to share these with you.

What is the origin of Cape Town? Why is Cape Town where it is today? Who are the people of Cape Town? What’s with the incomplete freeway? All these questions will be answered on this exciting orientation tour.

Highlights of the tour include:
  • Table Mountain. The world famous mountain - icon of Cape Town, gateway to Africa.
  • Camps Bay and Clifton. Beautiful white sandy beaches set in Cape Town’s Millionaires Mile.
  • The Malay Quarter. A vibrant area situated on the slopes overlooking central Cape Town, this area has a strong Muslim influence with its mosques and people whose origin and culture stem originally from Malaysia and Indonesia.
  • Greenmarket Square. An open air market where a wide variety of local arts, crafts, clothes and more can be found.
  • Signal Hill. A hill overlooking the City and Table Bay, where the noon gun is still fired every day, a tradition dating back centuries.
  • The Castle of Good Hope. This is the oldest building still standing in South Africa.
  • A drive past the City Hall to view the balcony where Pres. Mandela made his first speech after 27 years in prison.
  • The Company Gardens.

Discover the scenic splendour that Cape Town has to offer on this tour. As you make your way down to Cape Point, you will find rugged coastlines, beautiful gardens and quaint villages and perhaps an encounter with a troop of baboons.

Highlights of the tour include:
  • The Atlantic Seaboard: This length of coastline stretches along Sea Point, Bantry Bay, Clifton and Camps Bay where some of Cape Town’s best beaches are found. The Victoria Road (one of the many engineering feats of Thomas Bain) follows the coastline between the mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, passing the quaint village of Llandudno.
  • The town of Hout Bay, a small scenic town set in a picturesque bay with a working fishing harbour. Here we may take an optional boat cruise to see a Cape Fur Seal colony or browse at the wharf side curio market.
  • Continuing along the coast, we stop at the ostrich farm to see the exotic leatherwork and then enter the Cape of Good Hope section of the Table Mountain National Park, with its abundance of natural beauty. This is home to more than 2 250 Fynbos plant species and many species of animals, including antelope, baboon, ostrich and a wide variety of birds. We then go to Cape Point, the extreme tip of the Cape Peninsula where you may take an optional funicular trip to the lighthouse look-out point at the top of the cliffs.
  • We then visit the Cape of Good Hope, the most South Western point of South Africa.
  • We then visit Boulders Beach to see the Penguin Colony before passing through the historical naval town of Simonstown.
  • The trip also includes a stop at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, South Africa's National Botanical Garden.

The private Cape Wine Lands tour will allow you to discover the beauty and history of the Cape wine lands (also known as the wine route). Wine tasting, rolling vineyards, renowned wine estates and beautiful mountain ranges are the order of the day.

Highlights of the tour include:
  • We will visit the historic town of Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa. It is famous for its Cape Dutch architecture and as the heart of the South African wine industry.
  • Oom Samie Se Winkel (Uncle Sam's Shop). This shop has remained the same since it opened 150 years ago, stepping into it is like a glimpse into the history of this region.
  • The Franschhoek Valley
  • A wine cellar tour
  • A cheese tasting tour on a farm which uses Goats milk for its cheese production.
Of course some wine tasting is also on the itinerary.
  • Paarl. This town is home to the KWV wine cellar - the biggest wine cellar in the world and the Afrikaans Language Monument.

Hermanus, famous not because of its stunning coast or the fact that it has a railway station but no train that passes though the town, but because of the gentle giants that visit them.
